Your role within the team We are looking for a motivated Product Development Associate who can join our team and work collaboratively with the broader teams to provide support across our portfolio of products. While based in Melbourne, the PD Associate will support product development and launches into markets across Asia. Key responsibilities include: Lead and manage new product development and reformulation projects within the Asia Markets pipeline Accelerate innovations through close collaboration with Asia cross functional teams and lead technical discussions with external stakeholders Support product registration in each market, including technical review of specifications, dossier preparation and provide technical advice Act as the communication hub between ANZ and Asia markets to foster greater synergies and collaboration of product development initiatives Assist with continuous improvement initiatives with suppliers and quality team to enhance product quality and operational outcomes Track project milestones, risks and deliverables to support on-time execution Contribute to knowledge sharing and best practice development within Product Development function Desired Skills & Experience We look for people who have what it takes to make an impact; who can challenge us to go further while pushing themselves to deliver exciting & ambitious results. To make sure we’re setting new starters up for success, we ask that you meet a few criteria relevant to the role to be considered for this opportunity: Minimum of 1-2 years experience in complementary medicines, nutrition or food industries. Tertiary qualifications in Pharmaceutical Sciences and Formulation Chemistry, Food Technology or similar Applied Sciences. Experience developing products and formulations from concept to launch, including supporting improvements to existing products and formulations. Demonstrate strong understanding and interest in the Asia health and nutrition landscape, particularly Southeast Asia, and understanding of Australian complementary medicine market Understanding of relevant regulatory frameworks including TGA and FSANZ requirements, with knowledge of Southeast Asian and broader Asian regulatory environments considered highly advantageous. Ability to critically evaluate raw materials, ingredient specifications, and samples for suitability, functionality, compatibility, and interactions within supplement formulations. Experience conducting product assessments including sensory evaluations, analytical testing, and stability protocols to ensure product quality and performance. Create technical briefs and product formulation briefs to support product development, manufacturing, and commercialisation activities. Strong communication skills to translate technical information effectively to cross-functional teams in a format that simplifies complex scientific detail and supports decision-making. Demonstrated capability to work collaboratively with contract manufacturers and ingredient suppliers to support formulation development, manufacturing, and supply outcomes.
