We are a fast growing FMCG company located in Villawood, NSW specialising in importing and distribution of Asian food products to the Australian market. An opportunity exists for an experienced Brand Manager professional to work in a fast paced environment.
Position Overview
The Brand Manager role is a pivotal position within the Marketing Department. The candidate will be responsible for developing comprehensive advertising and promotional (A&P) plans, increasing market share, and achieving targeted sales growth. This role will involve overseeing market reviews, creating compelling consumer insights, and executing strategic trade and consumer marketing initiatives. Furthermore, the selected candidate will assist in Public Relations and Media Liaison efforts.
Key Responsibilities:
Brand Marketing
* Sales Performance Analysis: Diligently analyse the sales performance data to understand the growth and Profit & Loss (P&L) trajectory of specific brands within our portfolio.
* Stock Management: Scrutinize stock movement data to identify slow-moving items and initiate strategies to improve stock turnover.
* Forecasting: Conduct monthly analyses comparing forecasted sales to actual demand, develop gap planning strategies to reconcile discrepancies.
* Target Achievement: Ensure the attainment of preset targets for sales growth and profitability metrics.
* Strategic Planning: Develop and implement intricate A&P strategies aimed at enhancing brand awareness and maximizing sales volume.
* Supplier Relationship: Secure approvals for marketing programs and budgets from suppliers, and effectively address any queries they may have.
* Sales Reporting: Provide timely reports on sales volumes and ongoing promotional activities.
* Media Planning: Research and identify the most cost-effective mass media channels for advertising and promotion, liaising with various media outlets to secure advertisement placements.
Market Review
* Consumer Research: Actively conduct consumer research and collect market data to keep abreast of industry trends, competitor activities, and retailer feedback.
* Analysis & Reporting: Analyse market review results to make informed recommendations on pricing, packaging, and aggressive marketing strategies.
* Opportunity Identification: Scout for new business opportunities and explore untapped markets to ensure continued growth.
Event & Campaign Management
* Promotional Activities: Identify potential in-store promotional opportunities and conceptualize creative events and campaigns to maximize sales.
* Website Management: Regularly update the company's website to ensure all content remains relevant and current.
* Post-Event Reporting: Provide detailed post-event activity reports and conduct Profit & Loss analyses to evaluate the effectiveness of each event or campaign.
* Merchandising: Craft point-of-sale materials, design promotional items, and develop advertising artwork.

Candidate Requirements
* A minimum of 3-5 years of Marketing experience in Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG), with a preference for candidates having exposure to the food industry.
* A relevant tertiary qualification in Marketing or a related field.
* Fluency in both spoken and written Chinese and English is preferred.
* Exceptional organisational and negotiation skills.
* Sound problem-solving abilities and analytical acumen.
* Strong financial aptitude, particularly in the areas of business planning and budget management.
* Demonstrable business acumen and commercial awareness.
* Solid mathematical and analytical skills.
* Exceptional skills in relationship-building.
* Proficiency in computer applications pertinent to the role.
