A major privately owned Australian manufacturing group — operating across advanced industrial assembly, precision components, specialised coatings, food products, and emerging rail technologies — is seeking an exceptional Management Accountant to strengthen financial leadership and drive commercial insight across a diverse and growing operation.
The company is a long-standing Tier 1 supplier to a globally recognised heavy-vehicle manufacturer and is now expanding into new technology areas, major customer programs, and new profit centres.

What You Will Lead & Improve
Cost Accounting & Product/BOM Profitability
Analyse and validate BOM accuracy across varied product linesPartner with production, quality, and planning to confirm true consumptionAssess model, variant, and customer profitabilitySupport pricing discussions with major customers in the automotive and rail sectorsStrengthen monthly financial statements (accuracy, insight, interrogation)Provide clear variance explanations (labour, overheads, materials, imports)Improve divisional visibility and decision-making
Forecasting & Cashflow Leadership
Lead rolling forecasts and cashflow reportingWork directly with the CEO on business driversAlign forecasting with operational realities
Systems, Controls & Process Improvement
Modernise internal reporting frameworksLeverage under-utilised tools for costing and analysisStrengthen controls in specialised environments (e.g., high-security operations)Support integration of new technologies and future acquisitions
Finance Team Leadership & Uplift
Mentor and guide a capable finance/admin teamAssess skill gaps and redistribute responsibilitiesRaise accuracy, accountability, and performance standardsLead through a transition period while maintaining continuity
Salary & Location
$155k–$185k + Super, aligned to experience, impact, and leadership capability.

About You
Degree in Accounting/Finance/Commerce (CPA/CA preferred)Strong manufacturing management accounting backgroundCosting, BOM, and product profitability expertiseHigh analytical capability and commercial judgementAbility to influence and partner cross-functionallyHands-on, detail-driven, and improvement-orientedLeadership presence and aspiration for future senior responsibility
