The Project CPB Contactors is delivering the Australian Government’s Army Aviation Program of Works (AAPoW) (The Project) at the Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) Base in Townsville, Queensland. Army Aviation Program of Works | Defence Your opportunity The Senior Contracts Administrator will effectively manage the administration of all subcontractor and supplier contracts within prescribed cost limits. Your responsibilities in the role will include: Assisting the Project Manager in the preparation and review of the project monthly report including providing workings completed, programme and cost data Managing the financial administration and site office administration for the project Developing and managing own work schedule to deliver required outputs to expected quality and within timeframes Assisting with any contractual issues on the project as well as identifying, evaluating, and submitting potential variations/claims Our minimum requirements for this role are: 5 – 7 years of relevant experience Relevant tertiary qualifications Robust understanding of relevant legislation Detailed knowledge and demonstrated high level experience in project management, planning, budgeting, and cost control Demonstrated commercial acumen and the ability to interpret and apply contracts Relevant experience in a contracting construction environment that engages in various subcontractors Experience working on a large construction project is highly desirable as well as local project exposure Strong communication skills, ability to prioritise, and excellent attention to detail We particularly welcome and encourage applications from Indigenous Peoples, women, the LGBTQ community, mature workers, Veterans and active-duty armed forces, people with disabilities and people from different cultural backgrounds.
