Are you a proactive and skilled Media Relations Expert with a deep passion for the arts and entertainment? Original Spin, a top Sydney-based agency, is looking for a hands-on leader to join our team. This is your chance to manage the day-to-day delivery of our most exciting client accounts, working on world-class events like Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras, Sydney Film Festival, Sydney Writers' Festival + much more.
We need someone who can go beyond the brief. You will be responsible for executing high-level PR strategies and managing core campaign operations, delivering measurable results while mentoring the next generation of public relations talent. This role is for a highly organised, creative individual who wants to play a direct part in shaping Australia's cultural landscape.

The Requirements: Who We're Looking For
A minimum of 5+ years of experience in a public relations/publicity role, preferably with agency experience. With a strong portfolio of work in the arts, culture, or entertainment sectors.
A solutions-focused and proactive approach with the ability to manage multiple projects, prioritise deadlines, and deliver measurable results.
Strategic thinker with the ability to analyse complex issues and develop comprehensive PR strategies.
Exceptional communicator with excellent writing and editing skills to produce compelling media materials.
Proven experience in media relations and an established network with journalists, editors, and influencers.
A track record in crisis communications and the ability to protect a client's reputation under pressure.
Robust leader with the ability to mentor and motivate a team.
A terrific eye for detail and the organisational skills to manage campaigns from start to finish, including budgeting and timelines.
A university degree in a relevant field.
Given the nature of the industry—encompassing events, launches, festivals, and shoots—after-hours and weekend work will be part of the gig from time to time.
You must be available to work FULL TIME and be an Australian citizen or hold a valid work visa.
