This is a residential role based full-time at Kogan Creek Power Station, Australia's largest supercritical coal-fired unit, playing a vital role in maintaining energy stability across the NEM well into 2040.As a member of the Kogan Station team, the Engineer supports the Engineering Supervisor, and operations sites by providing professional engineering services, guidance and support to operate and maintain the assets safely and commercially.Key duties include (but not limited to):Identifies and mitigates key plant risks, meeting both acceptable standards, and business objectives.Contributes to development and execution of plant area and understands process safety risks and processes, and prioritises engineering works with this in mind.Develops, maintains and governs appropriate maintenance and capital strategies for allocated asset areas.Identifies and implements measures and metrics to monitor, sustain or improve plant area performance, safety, production and reliability. Implements rectification plans as necessary.Carries out activities to meet asset related regulatory compliance.Assists in asset governance functions to ensure the consistent application of maintenance standards and processes, checking quality and integrity of works.Analysing and rectifying root cause of failures and incidents of high priority and critical items.Contributing to success of outage and project works, including delivery, governance, scopes, standards, advice and technical direction as required.Develops and implements projects as required, in line with asset strategy that sustain or improve assets in a commercial way.Provision of coaching and mentoring to other Engineers, graduates, operators and maintainers as plant change to promote innovation while protecting the asset.To be successful in this role you will have the following education, skills and experience:Bachelor of Engineering in an appropriate discipline or similar certification or ability to acquire within 12 months of placement5 years' experience of thermal power stations or heavy industry preferred (desirable).A solid understanding of Asset Management principles and their application including equipment strategy, business risk management, RCA investigations and plant modification process, enterprise risk management, whole of life asset planning process, capital budget development process and continuous improvement process.To be successful in this onsite Engineer position, you will be a focused team player who can communicate at all levels in the business, have a heightened personal and process safety focus, and be willing to work cohesively with others to achieve team and organisational outcomes.What is in it for you:Attractive remuneration and benefits on offer including relocation assistance, holiday travel scheme and housing assistance.Great learning and development opportunities while working within a highly supportive and motivated team.Fantastic team culture with supportive leadership team.CS Energy is proud to foster an environment that builds respect, promotes inclusiveness, celebrates diversity and embraces the unique skills and qualities of all our employees.
