About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to work as a Solicitor and Counsel in a high-profile position within the Tasmanian Government. The role involves prosecuting criminal matters on behalf of the State before various courts and tribunals. You will also be responsible for providing professional supervision and instruction to junior legal practitioners.
Key Responsibilities:
* Prosecute routine, complex, and critical criminal matters on behalf of the State of Tasmania.
* Act as Solicitor and Counsel in litigious matters involving the State of Tasmania and its instrumentalities.
* Provide professional supervision and instruction to junior legal practitioners.
* Participate in performance management and file reviews as directed by the Director of Public Prosecutions.
Requirements
* Admitted or eligible for admission as a Barrister or Practitioner of the Supreme Court of Tasmania.
* A minimum of seven years relevant experience.
* Drivers license.
