About the opportunity
Join the team at Gold Coast Private Hospital as a Food Services Assistant! We're looking for experienced professionals to bring their skills to our team on a casual basis. If you take pride in your work, possess a friendly & positive attitude, have experience in food services within a healthcare environment or hospitality and enjoy providing exceptional customer service, this role is for you!
This role requires the successful candidate to be available to work on a 7-day rotating roster, AM and PM shifts.
Shift Schedule
- AM shift – 5:45am – 2:30pm
- PM shifts – 2:30pm – 9:00pm and 4:30pm – 9:00pm

Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional customer/patient service by preparing and serving food throughout the facility / designated area, including, setting up, plating, and distributing food and beverages and by participating in food safety processes
- Assist in general cleaning of kitchen equipment and utensils including dish and pot washing as required
- Act as a valued member of an interdisciplinary team by promoting a professional and positive team culture, communicating and offering help to team members and liaising with other staff to create an experience that makes a difference
- Be comfortable working with equipment such as food trolleys and carrying food trays
- Available for on-call shifts
Qualifications
- Authority to Work in Australia
- Experience in Healthcare/hospitality (preferred)
- Working with Children check (if relevant)
- Commitment to service excellence
- Strong time management and prioritisation skills
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities
- Keen attention to detail
- Work well independently and within a team
