Business Name, located at Quinninup Tavern in Western Australia is looking for a qualified Chef. The normal working hours are 38hr/week. The salary is $77,000-$80,000 commensurate with experience.
Requirements
* Certificate III or IV in Commercial Cookery or higher
* Have a passion for cooking
* Be able to organize production schedules
* Have knowledge of Food Handling and Food Safety procedures
* Have a reliable form of transportation
* Be able to work well under pressure
* Be able to demonstrate strong leadership skill and be a team player
Tasks
* Preparing various food items as per the menu
* Estimating food cost, ordering food supplies, receiving and checking stock to ensure suitability for use
* Guiding and giving direction to other kitchen staff
* Ensure all recipes, food preparations and presentations meet the business specification and commitment to quality
* Ensure that all station remains stocked before and during the working period
* Verify other staff follow all recipes and portion servings correctly
* Ensuring proper sanitization of working stations, storage area and entire kitchen area
* Place food and supplies orders as directed
* Train kitchen staff and junior staff
* Organize kitchen meeting to discuss various problems and provide solutions
* Manage staff level in the kitchen area
