About The Role
Breakthru is selected by the Department of Social Services to deliver the Inclusive Employment Australia (IEA) program across NSW and Queensland. As a Career Coach you'll support individuals with disability, injury or health conditions to prepare for a meaningful career. You'll guide people through the job-readiness journey—from first conversation to job application and interview preparation—and help them build confidence, develop skills, and achieve career goals.
Key Responsibilities
Work closely with clients to plan next career steps and help find the right job.
Build strong relationships to understand goals, strengths, and support needs.
Provide tailored coaching and regular check-ins to maintain motivation and progress.
Connect participants with upskilling opportunities, hands-on experience, and group activities.
Collaborate with employers and community services to open pathways to employment and training.
Meet or exceed internal and external performance benchmarks.

About You
You bring empathy, energy and a drive to make a difference. You have experience or a genuine passion for employment services, and are confident supporting people, building trust and guiding them toward meaningful and sustainable careers. You're outcomes-focused, highly organised, and thrive in a fast-paced, people-first environment. You enjoy engaging with employers to understand their needs and prepare candidates who are the right fit. You lead with integrity, empathy, and inclusive, person-centred support.
Essential Criteria
Qualifications in Employment or Human Services (e.g. Mental Health, Psychology, Social Work) – desirable
Experience in employment services and supporting people with disability, injury, or health conditions
Proven ability to meet KPIs and create client-focused employment and skills plans
Confident in marketing clients to employers and facilitating group programs
Strong communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder engagement skills
Knowledge of disability legislation, support strategies, and labour market trends
Current Driver's License - essential
