At Avant, we have recently implemented Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM and are now focused on optimising how we deliver ongoing enhancements and business value. We are looking for a dedicated D365 Business Analyst to play a pivotal role in improving delivery quality and embedding strong internal capability.
As our D365 Business Analyst, you will act as the bridge between stakeholders and delivery teams, ensuring requirements are clear, prioritised and aligned to platform best practices.
This role is critical to ensuring that work entering the backlog is well‐defined, appropriately scoped and ready for delivery, ultimately improving efficiency, reducing rework, and driving better outcomes from our D365 investment.
Key focus areas
* Own demand intake, shaping and prioritisation for the CRM platform
* Translate business needs into clear, delivery‐ready user stories and acceptance criteria
* Reduce ambiguity, rework, and reliance on external BA support
* Support UAT, issue triage and release readiness as part of BAU delivery
* Act as a consistent and trusted point of contact between stakeholders and delivery teams
Demand & Backlog Management
* Work with business stakeholders to capture, refine and prioritise requirements
* Partner with the Product/Platform Owner to ensure a well‐groomed, delivery‐ready backlog
* Ensure all work aligns with D365 platform capabilities and \"configure first\" principles
Requirements & Solution Definition
* Translate business requirements into user stories, process flows and functional specifications
* Facilitate workshops, interviews, and fit‐gap analysis sessions
* Support solution design by identifying where D365 standard functionality fits vs where extensions are needed
Delivery Support & Quality
* Participate in Agile ceremonies (refinement, sprint planning, reviews)
* Support UAT, defect triage, and issue resolution by removing ambiguity
* Ensure readiness for releases, including business impact, training and communication considerations
Continuous Improvement
* Identify opportunities to simplify, standardise and optimise business processes
* Leverage D365 and Power Platform capabilities to drive better outcomes
* Contribute to improved BA practices, standards, and ways of working
Skills and experience required
* Proven experience as a Business Analyst within Agile delivery environments
* Strong experience working with Microsoft Dynamics 365 (Sales, Customer Service, Customer Voice, Contact Centre)
* Ability to translate complex requirements into clear, structured, deliverable artefacts
* Experience with process mapping, data analysis, and fit‐gap assessments
* Solid understanding of Power Platform, Dataverse, and D365 capabilities
* Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
* A pragmatic, proactive approach with strong analytical and problem‐solving capability
* Preferred but not essential: Experience with integrations, data migration, or reporting (Power BI), exposure to change impact, training, or business case development, Microsoft certifications
