We're seeking a passionate Senior Lived Experience Worker to join our new Modbury Mental Health Rehabilitation Unit, supporting individuals and families on their journey to wellness. About the role: The Modbury Mental Health Rehabilitation Unit delivers high-quality rehabilitation services through a multidisciplinary team committed to person-centred, trauma-informed care. Our collaborative environment focuses on compassionate, solution-focused approaches that promote skill development, social inclusion, and empower consumers to achieve their recovery goals. You'll work closely with Wondakka Community Rehabilitation Centre and The Gully services, contributing to mental health rehabilitation innovation while fostering continuous improvement and co-design practices. The Senior Lived Experience Worker position offers a unique opportunity to drive meaningful change within SA Health's Mental Health Rehabilitation Unit at Modbury Adult Service, drawing upon your personal mental health recovery journey to provide authentic peer support that bridges clinical care and lived reality. Working within a multidisciplinary rehabilitation team, you'll champion the consumer voice whilst facilitating individual and group peer support sessions, developing therapeutic relationships with consumers experiencing complex mental health challenges, and supporting their transition from acute care to community living. As a senior team member, you'll provide clinical supervision to peer workers, collaborate closely with psychiatrists, nurses, social workers, and occupational therapists, contribute to policy development, and represent the consumer perspective in case conferences and service planning meetings.
