Domestic, Family and Sexual Violence Team Leader
Lead safe, high‐quality DFSV practice and support practitioners to do their best work. SSI is seeking an experienced DFSV Practice Team Leader to provide day‐to‐day leadership, clinical oversight, and practice support to a team of specialist Domestic, Family and Sexual Violence practitioners. The role plays a critical part in ensuring safe, ethical and high‐quality DFSV responses for women experiencing or at risk of domestic, family and sexual violence, in line with SSI's trauma‐informed and culturally responsive practice framework.
About You
As the DFSV Practice Team Leader, you will be responsible for:
* Leading and supporting specialist DFSV practitioners in complex, high‐risk casework
* Providing practice guidance, case review and reflective supervision
* Embedding SSI's DFSV practice frameworks, policies and procedures into daily service delivery
* Supporting workforce well‐being, capability and professional development
* Working closely with program and service delivery leaders to ensure quality, safety and compliance across DFSV services
Key Responsibilities
* Provide practice leadership, mentoring and supervision to DFSV practitioners
* Support high‐risk case decision‐making, safety planning and risk assessment
* Monitor practice quality, compliance and adherence to trauma‐informed principlesEmbed culturally safe responses for women from migrant, refugee, CALD and other priority communities
* Facilitate case discussions, practice reviews and team learning
* Contribute to continuous improvement, reporting and service development
* Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external DFSV sector partners
Essential Criteria
* A relevant qualification in social work, psychology, community services or a related field is required
* Extensive experience in domestic, family and/or sexual violence casework
* Demonstrated ability to lead practice, support staff and respond to complex risk
* Strong understanding of trauma‐informed, victim‐survivor‐centred practice
* Experience providing supervision, coaching or practice guidance
* Knowledge of NSW/QLD DFSV legislation, frameworks and risk management
* Commitment to reflective practice, ethical decision‐making and cultural safety
