The Role
This is a senior leadership position sitting within the Executive Leadership Team, with full ownership of the Design & Engineering function.
You won’t be walking into a perfectly structured environment - and that’s exactly the opportunity.
The business has strong capability, but now needs someone who can bring it all together. Someone who can align the team, implement structure, improve systems, and ensure engineering is genuinely supporting project delivery, fabrication, and installation.
This role is hands-on where it needs to be, but also strategic - giving you the platform to influence how the business operates moving forward.
What You’ll Be Doing
* Take full ownership of the Design & Engineering function across the business
* Align and structure the existing team to improve output and accountability
* Implement clear workflows, systems, and engineering standards
* Improve quality, documentation, and consistency across all designs
* Ensure engineering integrates effectively with Projects, Operations, and the Workshop
* Support delivery across fabrication, installation, and packaged system projects
* Contribute at ELT level to business planning, growth, and strategy
What We’re Looking For
* Strong background in mechanical/design engineering
* Experience within fabrication, process equipment, engineered systems or similar environments
* Proven ability to improve or build structure within an engineering team/function
* Solid understanding of design workflows, QA, documentation, and delivery
* Hands‑on leadership style – someone who leads from the front, not from behind a desk
