The Role
As a Senior Civil Engineer at SPORTENG, you'll lead the design and delivery of sports facility projects from concept through to construction. You'll balance client needs with technical, environmental, and regulatory requirements, while guiding project teams to deliver high-quality outcomes.
What You'll Be Doing
* Lead the planning, design, and delivery of Fields of Play and sports facility projects
* Work closely with clients to define project scope, manage expectations, and deliver practical solutions
* Prepare and review designs, reports, and technical documentation in line with governing body standards
* Oversee and review the use of AutoCAD and 12D across project teams
* Coordinate site investigations, inspections, and technical approvals
* Provide technical leadership, guidance, and mentoring to engineers, designers, and drafters
* Support consistent, high-quality delivery across SPORTENG's national team
* Contribute to the continuous improvement of design processes and technical standards.
What We're Looking For
* Bachelor of Civil Engineering (or equivalent)
* 5+ years' experience in civil engineering design and project delivery
* Experience leading projects and supporting junior team members
* Strong knowledge of AutoCAD and 12D
* Ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients and stakeholders
* Experience working with councils or public-sector clients (highly regarded)
* Working toward or holding Chartered Engineer and/or Registered Engineer status (desirable)
