About the Role
One Rail Australia is seeking a Trades Assistant to join the Queensland Maintenance team. Based in Mackay, this role supports our growing maintenance operations and plays a key part in ensuring the reliability of ORA's Rollingstock fleet. Be part of our rapidly expanding presence in central Queensland.

Key Responsibilities
* Provides support to Rollingstock Maintainers by assuring that all tasks are prepared in advance as directed
* Provide maintenance support, as directed by qualified rolling stock maintainers
* Provides warehousing support where required to ensure that tasks are completed safely and efficiently
* Attention to detail, and can-do attitude will play a key role in your ongoing success, and support of the team.
* Can work unsupervised, within their competency and make sound, independent decisions as necessary
* Ability and willingness to adapt, quickly learn and use new skills and knowledge brought about by rapidly changing structure, process, information and/or technology
* Confident in building and maintaining productive relationships with a variety of stakeholders
About You
Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, we are seeking a motivated, team‑oriented and safety‑minded Trades Assistant ready to take the next step in their career. The ideal candidate will have relevant experience, strong time‑management abilities, and a proven commitment to producing high‑quality work.
