Senior Android Engineer
This is a high-impact role for an experienced Senior Android Engineer to join our mobile teams and contribute to the development of Xero's native mobile products. The successful candidate will be responsible for building app features that are reliable and scalable, while also being involved in every step of the product journey for millions of users.
The ideal candidate will have experience in coaching and mentoring engineers, as well as previous exposure to working in a similar product-based environment with collaboration being a key part of their typical working model. They should also have technical fluency in Android, especially in areas such as Kotlin & Coroutines, Testing knowledge, Dependency Injection, Jetpack Compose, MVVM and clean architecture patterns.
Responsibilities:
* Continually deliver results through writing code and code reviews.
* Lead and/or participate in technical and architectural discussions.
* Work in a cross-functional environment with Product, Design & Data peers to design, prototype and implement product features.
* Identify opportunities in current technology and architecture to recommend solutions.
* Provide input when engineers in the team need help, offering technical guidance and mentoring to help them grow and be the best version of themselves.
