Infrastructure Director, we are seeking a senior, outcomes-driven manager to lead capital works and infrastructure delivery. You will set the strategic direction and governance for major programs, drive engineering, asset lifecycle planning, and risk/contract management, and oversee operations, maintenance, fleets, parks, and open spaces. This role requires extensive experience in capital works delivery, asset management, and large-scale project leadership, with strong governance, procurement, and financial management capabilities. You’ll report to the CEO, partner with the Executive Leadership Team, and deliver safe, reliable, and sustainable infrastructure that supports growth, liveability, and service excellence.
Required qualifications, skills, and experience.
* Substantial senior leadership experience overseeing large, asset-intensive infrastructure portfolios with capital works delivery, engineering services, asset management and operations at a leadership level within councils, large commercial organisations, or government utilities.
* Proven track record building and leading high-performing, safety-centric teams in complex environments.
* Strong governance, risk management, procurement and contract management expertise within the public sector or regulated industries.
* Advanced financial management capabilities, including capital program oversight, budget governance, business case development and value-for-money decision making.
* Exceptional stakeholder engagement, negotiation, and communications skills, with experience dealing with elected members, stakeholders, contractors, and government agencies.
* Tertiary qualifications in engineering, infrastructure management, project management or a related discipline (or equivalent demonstrated experience).

* Provide executive oversight of the works program, ensuring alignment with strategy, governance, and value-for-money outcomes.
* Ensure rigorous project management discipline across large-scale programs, including business case development, procurement, contract management, risk management and stakeholder engagement.
* Oversee performance of contractors and consultants to ensure probity, value for money and project outcomes.
* Foster integrated project delivery through collaboration with strategic projects and other business units in the organisation.
Engineering, asset management and lifecycle planning.
* Provide strategic oversight of engineering services, design assurance, technical standards and lifecycle planning.
* Strengthen asset management maturity, data quality and decision-support systems to inform investment.
* Ensure design, construction and asset stewardship align with legislation, standards and best practice.
