Our Finance team plays a critical role in enabling strategic decision‑making, ensuring regulatory compliance, and continuously improving financial processes to support Pivotel’s ongoing growth.
About the role:
As a Senior Financial Accountant you’ll be a foundational part in supporting Pivotel’s financial operations, with a strong focus on month‑end activities, reconciliations, financial reporting and continuous improvement. It offers an excellent opportunity for an experienced accountant looking to deepen their technical capability and progress toward more senior roles within a growing organisation.
You will work closely with the Finance Manager, Head of Finance and wider business stakeholders, contributing to both transactional excellence and improved financial insights.
Key Responsibilities:
* Prepare month‑end journals, schedules and financial reports
* Maintain accurate general ledger reconciliations
* Review financial data to identify key drivers, trends and margins
* Support customer invoicing, including review of coding accuracy
* Perform ad‑hoc financial and non‑financial analysis as required
* Assist with project revenue and cost reconciliations
* Respond to routine financial queries from internal stakeholders
* Provide guidance on correct transaction allocation and troubleshooting
* Assist with technical accounting papers and lease calculations
* Support audits, tax reconciliations and financial reporting activities
* Contribute to process improvements, documentation and internal controls
* Mentor and support development of other Finance team members
What you'll bring to the role:
* Tertiary qualifications in Accounting or Finance
* CPA or CA qualified
* 3+ years’ experience in a finance or accounting role within a complex organisation
* Strong understanding of general accounting and financial reporting principles
* Advanced Excel skills
* High attention to detail with a proactive, continuous improvement mindset
* Strong communication, time management and problem‑solving skills
* Experience working with an ERP system (Sage X3 highly regarded)
* Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team
