About the Role
Based primarily in Maryborough, with some activities in Hervey Bay, this role involves supporting children with disabilities in a fun and safe environment. You'll engage in a wide range of activities including arts and crafts, bowling, park visits, BBQs, and more. This part-time or casual role runs Monday to Friday from 2 PM to 6 PM, perfect for someone who loves working with kids and making afternoons count.
Key Responsibilities:
• Support children in community-based activities in a group setting
• Promote emotional regulation and positive social interactions
• Ensure the safety, wellbeing, and engagement of participants
• Communicate effectively with team members and participants families
• Maintain accurate records of activities and participant progress
What We're Looking For:
• A genuine interest in working with children, especially those with disabilities
• Experience or interest in community-based group activities and outings
• Enthusiastic and creative approach to group activities
• A calm, patient, and supportive attitude
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Requirements
• Valid drivers licence (P2 or open class)
• Senior First Aid and CPR certificate
• NDIS worker screening clearance (yellow card)
• Blue card (working with children check)
