We are looking for a Contracts Administrator/Estimator with experience in concrete constructions to join our team on the Sunshine Coast, Qld 4556. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the contractual and financial aspects of construction projects, as well as estimating project costs and managing the budget. You will work closely with project managers, site supervisors, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Review and interpret construction contracts, including payment terms, scope of work, and project schedules.
2. Must have previous building experience and ability to assess and understand various different building processes on high level commercial building projects.
3. Develop and maintain project budgets and cost reports.
4. Strong understanding of building processes and sequencing.
5. Prepare and submit progress claims and variation claims.
6. Ideal candidate will possess a strong commercial acumen.
7. Liaise with project managers, site supervisors, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure that project requirements are understood and met.
8. Conduct site visits to assess the progress of construction works and identify any issues or risks.
9. Prepare accurate cost estimates for new projects and tenders.
10. Ability to chase new projects while maintaining current projects at hand.
11. Analysis and compare supplier and subcontractor quotes to ensure the most competitive pricing.
12. Negotiate contracts with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure cost-effective project delivery.
13. Prepare and maintain project schedules and manage project timelines.
14. Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
15. Manage project documentation, including contracts, plans, and specifications.
16. Ideal candidate will have experience working with top tier/mid-tier builders.
Requirements:
* Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field
* Minimum of 3 years' experience as a Contracts Administrator/Estimator in the construction industry, with a focus on concrete constructions
* Strong knowledge of construction contracts and financial management
* Excellent communication and negotiation skills
* Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and construction management software
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
