Job Title: Strategic Procurement Specialist
At our organization, we believe in the importance of an efficient supply chain. This role plays a critical part in achieving this goal by developing strategies to optimize procurement, planning, and fulfillment processes.
Key Responsibilities:
* Create sourcing strategies that minimize risk and maximize value for procurement, supplier development, quality, logistics, and inventory management.
* Develop quantitative models to optimize cost reduction programs for controllable expenditures.
* Communicate and manage compliance with sourcing strategies.
* Identify and execute projects aimed at reducing costs, including planning, coordination, estimating completion, and project updates.
* Conduct advanced analyses to identify financial impacts of decisions, cost improvement, and performance for assigned categories.
* Collaborate with stakeholders to define SLAs and KPIs for suppliers and measure criteria such as delivery, cost reduction, quality, and timeliness of delivery.
Requirements:
* Advanced degree and 4+ years of experience in engineering, purchasing, contract negotiation, material or production planning, operations, or supply chain management, or material cost control.
* PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE: Familiarity with technical procurement, manufacturing, or designing production components, APICS certification, Lean Six Sigma certification, exceptional analytical and organizational skills, excellent customer service skills, strong technical knowledge and skills in current technologies and applications, and detail-oriented.
This is a strategic procurement specialist role that requires expertise in managing complex supply chains. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of procurement processes, analytical skills, and experience working with suppliers.
