About the Role
The Outdoor Education Activities Instructor plays a key role in delivering safe, engaging, and educational outdoor experiences for primary and secondary students attending camps at the Padua College Outdoor Education Centre, Amaroo. This position is responsible for facilitating a range of adventure‐based and environmental learning activities that support personal growth, teamwork, resilience, and connection to nature.
This is a casual position that includes requirements for overnight stays during each camp. It also offers the chance to join a supportive and hardworking team, with the added benefit of fully catered meals provided for the duration of every camp
Key Responsibilities / Duties:
* Facilitate outdoor education and adventure activities in line with approved programs, procedures, and risk management plans.
* Deliver activities which may include (but are not limited to; canoeing/kayaking, bushwalking, rock climbing, mountain biking and orienteering.
* Facilitate reflective practice (briefings, debriefs, group reviews) to support learning outcomes.
* Conduct and document pre‐activity checks (weather, water levels, equipment, site hazards) and complete post‐activity reporting.
* Assist with preparation, setup, facilitation, and pack‐down of activities and equipment.
* Manage student behaviour and engagement in accordance with school/organisation policies and procedures.

Skills and Experiences:
To be considered for this role, you should have:
Certificate IV in Outdoor Recreation or equivalent.
Extensive experience delivering outdoor education programs.
Demonstrated experience working with children or young people.
Availability to work during school terms.
Excellent interpersonal and professional communication skills.
