* Part time (3 days per week), 2-year fixed term position, located on the Camperdown Campus at the School of Psychology
* This position offers an excellent opportunity to build skills in applied psychological research, working as part of a supportive team conducting meaningful work with real impact for vulnerable communities

About the opportunity

The School of Psychology is currently seeking a Research Assistant (Psychology) to play a key role in shaping innovative research. In this position, you will contribute to the development of research protocols and lead the execution of critical research activities.

Your responsibilities will include:

* working closely with the research team to support the development and validation of a new clinical measure of childhood adversity
* assisting with recruitment, screening, and coordination of participants, including individuals from vulnerable populations
* conducting research interviews and assessments in accordance with ethical and culturally safe research practices
* managing data entry, cleaning, and basic analysis to ensure data integrity and confidentiality
* coordinating project logistics, including scheduling, materials preparation, and communication with community and clinical partners
* contributing to the preparation of reports, presentations, and ethics or governance documentation to support the research program.

* ability to coordinate grant applications and conduct literature searches
* experience managing, reporting, and disseminating research data
* background in research-intensive environments and higher education.

You must have unrestricted work rights in Australia for the duration of this employment to be eligible to apply. Visa sponsorship is not available for this appointment.

Your employment is conditional upon the completion of all role required pre-employment or background checks in terms satisfactory to the University. Similarly, your ongoing employment is conditional upon the satisfactory maintenance of all relevant clearances and background check requirements.
