ABOUT THE ROLE
Part of a small and loyal team, reporting to the Finance Manager, your duties will involve the following.
* Prepare and post month-end journals within reporting deadlines
* Analyse monthly financial results, including P&L performance
* Maintain balance sheet reconciliations
* Support annual audits and statutory reporting requirements
* Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
* Manage the Fixed Asset Register and asset valuations
* Prepare and lodge BAS, Payroll Tax, FBT, and other statutory returns
* Support intercompany accounting and banking transactions
* Drive process improvements and maintain financial documentation
* Assist with system enhancements and new product or service integrations
* Complete ad hoc financial tasks as required
ABOUT YOU
* CA or CPA qualified, or currently working toward completion
* 4+ years' relevant accounting experience
* Strong financial accounting skills, including general ledger and financial reporting
* Exposure to manufacturing, industrial, or distribution environments (desirable)
* Strong communication skills with the ability to partner across the business
* Solid knowledge of Accounting Standards and compliance requirements
* Advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUPs, IF statements, pivot tables)
* High attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and a proactive mindset
* Proven ability to identify efficiencies and drive continuous improvement
