THE OPPORTUNITY
The Facility Manager (FM) position is a leadership role that is responsible for Viva Leisure's CISAC facility and the departments and services associated. The Facility Manager is responsible for the overall facility management alongside a knowledgeable departmental leadership team. This includes but is not limited to the facilities, day-to-day operation and delivery of safe and high-quality customer experiences, optimising usage and maximising financial returns for Club Lime CISAC, Club Lime Ladies Only, Club Lime Aquatics, Club Lime Swim School, and Club Lime Café.
The Facility Manager is responsible for planning and managing the effective and efficient operations of the facility, including the delivery of high-level events, programs, services and the compliance required for the space across the CISAC facility for Viva Leisure.
This role works closely with our ANU location and all support functions available through our Head Office team including Central Services, Fitness and People & Culture to ensure a unified approach to learning, development, operations and maintenance of the facilities and its departments.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
Our ideal candidate will bring:
* Certificate III or IV in Fitness (desirable where managing a fitness club/gym)
* Pool Operations Certificate (essential where managing an aquatic facility)
* Lifeguard Certificate and Licence (essential where managing an aquatic facility)
* WVP/ WWCC check issued in State of work location
* Current First Aid and CPR Certificate
* Proven ability to lead, coach, and develop high-performing teams
* Demonstrated leadership through role-modelling company values, behaviours, and policies
* Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple sites and shifting priorities
* High attention to detail and capability in handling administrative responsibilities
* Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels
* Operational leadership experience with a track record of driving performance and excellence
* Passion for fitness, well-being, and delivering a positive impact
* Willingness to learn and understand the full scope of day-to-day operations across departments
* Thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with the ability to adapt and learn quickly
* Ability to implement effective structures, strategies, and training to improve team performance and member sales

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
* Lead and manage all aspects of facility operations in alignment with Viva's mission and vision
* Ensure clubs operate at a high standard, maintaining compliance with all relevant policies, safety procedures, and professional behaviour expectations
* Develop and deliver training, tools, and support to enhance operational excellence across departments
* Manage and support staff across multiple departments—including recruitment, rostering, performance, and talent development
* Review and optimise timetables to meet member and community needs
* Drive membership growth and ensure accurate maintenance of member records
* Analyse data to inform decision-making and educate other managers
* Foster a collaborative, team-based culture and contribute to company-wide goals
