A$139,860.00/yr - A$149,485.00/yr

About the opportunity
There are currently three (3) permanent – full time positions available for immediate filling.
We are seeking experienced and strategic finance leaders to join our team as a Principal Finance Business Partner. In this role, you will lead a team of Finance Business Partners to deliver expert budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and reporting that drive informed decision‑making and organisational performance. You will play a key role in shaping the Department’s financial strategy, contribute to the annual budget estimates cycle, financial performance reporting, and external funding management. With a focus on collaboration, innovation, and client service, you will foster a high‑performing team culture and champion continuous improvement across financial processes. Acting as a trusted advisor, you will also provide proactive insights on financial performance, risks, and opportunities to ensure accountability, transparency, and alignment with departmental goals. This is an exciting chance to make a lasting impact on financial governance and resource management across the department.
We are looking for individuals with:
- Substantial experience delivering contemporary financial management in a large, complex organisation.
- Strong knowledge of financial frameworks and governance requirements, with a demonstrated ability to maintain compliance while upholding transparency and integrity.
- Advanced proficiency in ERP systems, financial platforms, and digital tools, with the ability to utilise data analytics to deliver strategic insights and support evidence‑based decision‑making.
- Highly developed ability to build productive relationships and engage with diverse stakeholders (including executives).
