Job Opportunity
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to provide transport to children in Out-of-Home Care (OOHC) and supervise contacts between children and their birth families as scheduled and directed by Court Order.
The successful candidate will write a report on the contact's progress, ensuring that all parties involved are kept informed. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to make a positive impact in the lives of vulnerable children and families.
* Key Responsibilities:
* Provide transport to children and young people in OOHC for contacts or appointments
* Prepare a brief report on the visit and submit it to the designated Caseworker within one week
* Liaise with the young person's Caseworker to ensure high-quality service delivery
* Alert the Caseworker and Casework Manager regarding any significant issues and problem-solve with them where relevant
* Sign a confidentiality statement relating to the specific issues involved in the Multicultural Foster Care Program
* Provide first aid if required
Requirements:
* Studying or have completed a Bachelor of Social Work
* A current unrestricted driver's licence (own car with comprehensive insurance would be an advantage)
* A First Aid Certificate
* The ability to work well both in a team and autonomously
* Strong communication, negotiation and dispute resolution skills
* Previous work with culturally and linguistically diverse communities and strong administration/written communication skills
