Overview
Our client has a passion for success with industry expertise to deliver exceptional services in paint and blast operations. They are seeking reliable and hardworking Trades Assistant (T/A) Labourers to support their tradespeople on various job sites. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring all necessary equipment and materials are prepared, and will assist in general labour duties, preparation, and clean-up activities.
Responsibilities
- Assist tradesperson on-site with day-to-day tasks
- Prepare and set up all required tools, materials, and equipment for the job
- Fill, maintain, and clean blasting equipment as needed
- Shadow tradesperson to provide hands-on support as needed
- Perform sanding and spotting work as part of surface preparation
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Follow all safety protocols and site procedures
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a construction or industrial workplace preferred
- White card
- Ability to follow instructions and work closely with a team
- Physically fit and capable of manual labour
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
- Basic knowledge of tools and materials used in the trade
- Commitment to workplace health and safety standards
- Experience with industrial coatings or abrasive blasting (desirable)
