About The Role
Are you a self-motivated sonographer with a broad clinical skill set and strong patient focus?
We currently have a permanent fulltime position available to work in the Ultrasound department at Orange Health Service. The role involves day shifts Monday – Friday with an on call service after hours, including weekends. The role may be job shared and dual-trained radiographers are encouraged to apply.
The department provides an extensive range of examinations encompassing emergency/inpatients and outpatients, including specialist clinics in obstetrics, paediatric hips and AVF's. This role would suit a general sonographer or someone seeking to apply or develop an advanced skillset in a range of specialty areas.
The Medical Imaging Department (MID) at Orange Health Service provides routine and emergency service to hospital inpatients as well as outpatients from the local and surrounding communities. We provide a range of imaging modalities including Xray, CT, US, MRI, fluoroscopy and interventional radiology.
Our MID is part of the Western NSW LHD wide medical imaging business unit (MIBU), which allows for effective streamlining and sharing of resources. The MIBU deploys a central radiology information system (RIS) and picture archiving and communication system (PACS) across the district.
Anyone interested is encouraged to contact the Chief Radiographer, Nicki Sim at Orange Health Service on 6369 3573 to discuss this opportunity.
An eligibility list may also be created for future opportunities.
