Grade 2 Occupational Therapist | Acute Inpatient | Regional Victoria | Full-Time
A leading regional public health service in North West Victoria is seeking a Grade 2 Occupational Therapist to join its established Allied Health team within the acute inpatient setting.
Supporting a large regional community, this organisation employs over 900 staff across a 170+ bed health service delivering a broad range of acute, subacute and community-based services. With a strong focus on patient-centred care, multidisciplinary collaboration and professional development, this is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Occupational Therapist looking to step into a clinically rewarding and supportive environment.
Responsibilities
* Deliver comprehensive occupational therapy assessment and intervention for inpatient clients across acute and subacute settings
* Develop and implement complex treatment plans based on evidence-based practice
* Work collaboratively within the multidisciplinary team to support patient care and discharge planning
* Provide clinical support and supervision to Grade 1 therapists, students and allied health assistants
* Participate in ward rounds, case conferences and family meetings
* Contribute to service development, quality improvement and department initiatives
* Maintain high-quality clinical documentation and participate in departmental data monitoring
Qualifications
* AHPRA registration as an Occupational Therapist
* A Bachelor of Occupational Therapy (or equivalent)
* Demonstrated experience delivering clinical services consistent with a Grade 2 level
* Strong skills in functional assessment, discharge planning and equipment prescription
* Excellent communication and multidisciplinary teamwork skills
* The ability to manage a complex caseload and prioritise effectively
Experience supervising students or junior clinicians will be highly regarded.
