Job Description:
This is a hands-on Supervisor role for a team of office staff, field workers and subcontractors in a construction and maintenance services provider. The ideal candidate will have a trade background, strong supervisory skills, and a keen eye for safe and efficient project delivery.
The successful candidate will lead and supervise field staff and subcontractors across maintenance and minor works programs, support the Operations Manager in day-to-day delivery of current programs and projects, conduct condition assessments and prepare cost estimates for construction and maintenance projects.
The job holder will also prepare high-quality tender documents including quotations, trade packages, material lists and construction schedules, ensure a strong safety culture by applying and promoting WHS practices, conducting site inspections, and supporting audits.
Additionally, the candidate will collect samples of suspected asbestos materials and ensure they're tested appropriately, coordinate and oversee compliance with human resource principles, including employment equity and anti-discrimination.
Requirements:
* Strong supervisory experience in the construction or building maintenance industry.
* Demonstrated ability to plan, organize and deliver projects efficiently.
* A trade qualification in a construction-related field (highly desirable).
* Current Construction Induction Card (White Card).
* Proficiency with basic computer systems and project documentation.
* A passion for safety and quality in every aspect of work.
