We are seeking a suitably qualified and experienced Design Manager to join our growing and diverse team. Based in Toowoomba, working closely with and reporting to the General Manager, the successful candidates will focus on client relations, and design coordination to ensure alignment of the design to the client brief, authority requirements, and contract conditions for our projects. The role of Design Manager will see the successful candidate work on a variety of projects from Tender through to completion on site.
To be successful, candidate will be able to demonstrate:
* Tertiary qualifications in Design, Architecture or Construction Management;
* Strong grasp of buildability and construction parameters in the general construction industry;
* Ability to understand and interpret drawings and design documentation;
* Excellent computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office;
* An exceptional level of verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills;
* Highly developed organisational, time management and prioritisation skills; and
* Experience in contract management is advantageous.
