Employment Pathways Officer
The BUSY School is an integral part of a not-for-profit organization with a long history as a community partner providing employment services, vocational education and training, apprenticeships, mentoring, disability employment support and allied health services.
The school operates independently as a Special Assistance School with campuses across various locations in Queensland. This unique program caters specifically to Year 11 and 12 students who are disengaged or at risk of disengagement from education.
Each campus creates a supportive learning environment for young people through their provided educational program which includes work experience opportunities, VET courses and the potential for school-based apprenticeships/traineeships. The dedicated team aims to foster employability skills in these students increasing their sense of wellbeing, resilience, belonging academic achievement career exploration outcomes upon graduation.
* In order to re-engage our students we focus on ensuring they remain eligible for a QCE whilst gaining positive further training/employment outcomes post high school completion
