About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Support Worker to join our team. As a Support Worker, you will provide tailored assistance to individuals with disabilities, ensuring their unique needs are met.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Client Support: Assist clients with daily tasks such as eating, dressing, bathing, and grooming, promoting independence and dignity.
2. Daily Living Activities: Provide transportation assistance and respite care to clients and their families, offering much-needed breaks and relief.
3. Overnight/Sleepover Care: Offer overnight care and support to clients, creating a safe and comfortable environment.
4. MEDICATION ADMINISTRATION: Safely administer medications to clients, adhering to our medication administration policies and procedures.
5. Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of clients' care plans and progress, facilitating effective communication and collaboration among team members.
Requirements:
* A minimum of high school or equivalent qualification.
* Certificate 3 in Individual Support or higher, demonstrating expertise in disability care.
* Experience working with people with disabilities, showcasing empathy and understanding.
* In-depth knowledge of disability support services and its guidelines.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, fostering strong relationships with clients and colleagues.
