About the role: The Director Quality and Patient Safety is accountable for strategic direction, operational leadership and management of clinical governance and quality systems to ensure the development, implementation, maintenance and effective coordination and evaluation of Quality and Patient Safety (QPS) activities across PathWest, statewide.
This position establishes and coordinates quality and patient safety performance management and monitoring systems to ensure compliance with reporting and audit requirements, the identification of clinical risk and opportunities for improvement and the ongoing accreditation of all PathWest sites.

Whilst this selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy, it may also be used to fill other \"similar\" vacancies throughout the health service. In addition to this, should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised vacancy, then the next most suitable applicant may also be selected from this process. Both of these options remain valid for a period of twelve (12) months from when the authorised delegate endorses the recruitment decision.
