The Paediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) is a 24-bed unit providing specialist care for critically ill children across a broad range of conditions, including emergency presentations, postoperative recovery, trauma, burns, solid organ transplantation, and paediatric cardiac and cardiothoracic care. What You'll Be Doing
The Nursing Unit Manager (NUM) is pivotal to the coordination of safe patient care, ward management and leadership with an understanding of the "children first & foremost" philosophy to ensure optimum service delivery. The NUM acts as a leader with advance role model skills that promote culture and standards that reflect the NSW Health CORE values of Collaboration, Openness, Respect and Empowerment.
* Leads, directs and co-ordinates safe patient care
* Ensures practice is safe and effective, maintaining standards of care through continual quality improvements initiatives
* Manages the ward effectively and within agreed allocated resources

* Current Authority to practice as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
