The role
**In addition to this you will be responsible for**:
- Maintain eHealth Queensland's Software Asset Management Framework, including policies, procedures, strategies, tools, work instructions and standards relating to software asset management within the Agency and develop an organisational culture to enable the Software Asset Management processes to succeed.
- Ensure the Queensland Health's Software Asset Management Framework is monitored, maintained, reported on and improved and that Software Asset Management awareness is incorporated into internal communications in an ongoing manner.
- Provide expert advice to senior management on current software asset management risks and issues, proposing management objectives and improvement initiatives for software asset management.
- Manage the completion and accuracy of Agency software asset management reports including the annual Microsoft true up and other reports as required by governance and audit staff.
- Provide expert advice on licensing and contract terms and conditions, provide input into contract negotiations, review contract documentation and escalate risks that require mitigation
- Management of the corporate software account, including the forecasting of expenditure against high value contracts.
- Analysis of software auditing and metering reports to ensure optimum utilisation of software resources.
- Liaise with ICT projects, configuration, change and security functions to ensure that software asset management is considered within project scope, change, configuration and security processes, policies and procedures.
