We do not provide any service that isn't good enough for our own families.Role SummaryOur Registered Nurses play a crucial role in supporting and caring for residents at the facility, maintaining their independence as they age.
This is achieved through contemporary and timely clinical support and care, aiming to improve age-related deterioration in residents' social, mental and physical capacities.
Services are delivered to help residents live independently with dignity, self-determination and comfort.Responsibilities And DutiesDeliver clinical services, care planning, reviewing and assessing all aspects of clinical careEnsure a customer service focus is applied to all clinical care and service deliveryProvide safe and effective clinical care derived from evidence-based practice in line with scope of practiceProvide leadership, supervision and coaching to the care support staff at the facilityThis role is on a permanent part-time basis and is located at Midland Nursing Home.Skills, Attributes And ExperienceThe ideal candidate will have significant experience in residential aged care, understand the needs of residents transitioning to aged care, be familiar with the Aged Care Act and Aged Care Quality Standards, and be able to manage challenging behaviours, particularly in people living with dementia.
The Registered Nurse will provide leadership to the facility, including conflict resolution, supervision and continuous improvement.To be successful in this role, you should possess the following1–2 years of experience in residential aged care facilitiesSolid understanding of the current Aged Care Quality StandardsAbility to establish trusting relationships and develop person-centered support tailored to residents' needsExcellent organisational and leadership skills including conflict resolution and supervisionCurrent AHPRA registration and valid work rights in AustraliaPossess or be willing to obtain an NDIS Worker Screening CheckWhat We OfferVarious shifts available: AM (07:00–16:00), PM (15:30–22:30), and night (22:15–07:15)Above-award pay rates, salary negotiable based on experience (rates from $42–$50+ per hour)A workplace with a positive culture where collaboration is keyMidland Nursing Home is an equal opportunity employer.
