About the role
An exciting opportunity is available for a motivated and friendly Dental Assistant/Receptionist to join the team at Stirling Family Dental, a well-respected dental practice located in Stirling, South Australia. This is a position offering a mix of clinical and administrative duties with full-time hours. While previous experience is preferred, we are also open to training the right candidate who brings enthusiasm, a willingness to learn, and a strong work ethic.
What you'll be doing
* Assisting dentists during examinations and procedures by preparing treatment rooms, sterilising instruments, and passing instruments as needed.
* Welcoming and greeting patients, scheduling appointments, and managing patient records and documentation.
* Handling patient enquiries, billing, and health insurance claims in a professional and courteous manner.
* Maintaining a high level of infection control and ensuring compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations.
* Providing a warm and friendly front-of-house experience to all patients.
* Undertaking general administrative duties to support the efficient operation of the practice.
What we're looking for
* Previous experience as a Dental Assistant and/or Receptionist, preferably in a similar dental practice setting.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact with patients of all ages in a warm and empathetic manner.
* Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities, with a keen eye for detail
* Proficiency in using dental software and administrative systems.
* A commitment to maintaining the highest standards of infection control and patient safety.
* A friendly, positive, and professional demeanour that aligns with the practice's values.
