We have a role available for a Project Management Office (PMO) Lead to join our Defence division, supporting this new contract. This is a permanent full-time position that could be based at any of the main bases in South Australia.

About the role
You will be responsible for managing and overseeing the execution of various estate-related activities, including estate maintenance requests (EMR), survey & quote (S&Q) activities, and estate works. As the PMO Lead, you will also be responsible for reviewing and approving project proposals.
Your key responsibilities will include:
* Overseeing the processing and management of all estate maintenance to ensure timely and efficient completion.
* Managing and supervising the execution of the estate works projects, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and standards, and aligning with strategic objectives and compliance.
* Leading the coordination of survey initiatives and the preparation of quotes for estate work projects.
* Conducting regular safety performance reviews of ongoing projects to ensure safety protocols are followed.
* Evaluating the quality of current projects, ensuring that all work meets or exceeds established standards.
* Identifying areas for process improvements and collaborating with teams to implement best practices.
About you
Our ideal candidate will have:
* 7 years of experience in project management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role within a similar industry.
* Experience in stakeholder management, including working with government agencies, contractors, and other external partners.
* Experience in budget control and management, ensuring projects are delivered within financial constraints.
* Familiarity with regulatory and compliance requirements related to estate works and Defence projects.
* Strong knowledge of project management tools and software, with a demonstrated ability to implement and manage continuous improvement processes within a project management framework.
* Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
* Professional Project Management (PMP) certification or equivalent is highly desirable.
You must be an Australian Citizen and able to obtain and maintain a Defence Security Clearance.
