Utilise your Communications, Marketing and Media expertise to provide support and advice to the Victorian Institute of Forensic Medicine
- An Ongoing, Full-Time opportunity to work with a high-performing and passionate team in the Victorian Public Service
- VPS Grade 3: $73,842 - $89,661 plus superannuation.

**About the Business Unit**:
The Victorian Institute of Forensic Medicine (VIFM) is an independent statutory authority governed by the Victorian Institute of Forensic Medicine Act 1985 (the VIFM Act). It is part of the Justice portfolio of the Victorian Government.
The work of the VIFM can be described as a cycle of three parts:

- Providing forensic medical and scientific services and tissue banking
- Learning from this work
- Researching and teaching.

The VIFM Act creates a joint position of Director of the VIFM and Professor of the Department of Forensic Medicine (DFM) at Monash University. The Director/Professor is responsible for the strategic direction and activities of the DFM, which is housed at the VIFM and operates under the governance of the Monash University Faculty of Medicine, Nursing and Health Sciences.
About the Role
The Digital Content and Communications Officer role is responsible for maintaining and continually improving VIFM Internet public website and organisation Intranet, including sourcing or developing suitable and engaging content. This position is within the Corporate Services Division.

**Some of your duties will include**:

- Creating, updating content, and managing "Media Alerts" across various social media channels, including LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook etc
- Collaborate with VIFM's media advisor to ensure executives and other relevant staff are aware of press coverage and opportunities
- Developing, maintaining, and distributing content on internal communication channels to keep staff updated on the latest news, activities (ICT Notices), and events (Weekly Lectures) within the organisation.

**About You**:
**To be successful in this role, you will have**:

- Previous experience in a communications or social media role or similar will be highly desirable
- Highly developed written communication skills with the ability to maintain strong attention to detail and take pride in the quality of work produced
- Capacity to develop creative and engaging digital content, including basic use of graphic design packages.
