Tranzformd Consulting is seeking an experienced Change Manager Consultant to support a major operating model transformation program within a leading education provider. This is a Manager level Consulting big 4 role, a 6 month FTC, based in Sydney.
This role is suited to someone with proven operating model design and implementation experience, who can operate across complex environments and drive change at both squad and enterprise level.
You will embed into a faculty or functional-aligned squad, while also working across the broader program to ensure cross-functional alignment, clarity of impacts, and successful adoption of the new operating model. Building on existing change foundations, you will focus on rolling up detailed impacts into clear, structured change plans and driving outcomes across the organisation.

* Support the implementation of a new operating model, translating design into actionable change outcomes
* Assess and articulate impacts across structures, roles, processes, service models, and technology enablement
* Ensure alignment between operating model design and business readiness and adoption activities
Change Impact & Planning
* Lead and refine change impact assessments, consolidating detailed inputs into clear, structured outputs
* Develop and execute change plans across faculties and functional areas, aligned to program priorities
* Distill complex change into simple, actionable messaging for stakeholders
Cross-Functional Alignment
* Identify and manage interdependencies and cross-stream impacts across multiple squads and business areas
* Ensure consistency of change approach across the broader operating model program
* Collaborate closely with design, delivery, and PMO teams to embed change into execution
Stakeholder Engagement
* Engage and influence senior stakeholders and faculty leadership
* Provide clear articulation of operating model impacts and benefits
* Build alignment and ownership of change across impacted areas
Communications, Readiness and Governance
* Support development of targeted communications and engagement strategies
* Drive readiness and adoption activities across impacted functions
* Contribute to program reporting, including risks, impacts, and change progress
Key Challenges in the Role
* Managing large-scale, complex operating model change across multiple faculties and streams
* Avoiding getting lost in detail, requiring the ability to synthesise and simplify complex impacts
* Balancing squad-level delivery with enterprise-wide change alignment
* Ensuring clarity across people, process, service model, and technology changes
About You
* Strong experience in operating model transformation, with exposure to design and or implementation
* 5-10+ years' experience in change management/ organisational design within large-scale transformation programs
* Demonstrated ability to translate operating model design into practical, business-ready change plans
* Experience working across complex, multi-stream programs with significant scale
* You bring previous consulting experience.
* Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with experience influencing senior leaders
* Ability to think beyond immediate scope, identifying and managing cross-functional impacts
* Hands‐on, pragmatic approach with the ability to roll up sleeves and deliver outcomes
