Asset Manager
Yilgarn Region | 8&6 Roster | Iron Ore Restart Project
TSS are delighted to be partnering with Yilgarn Iron on the restart of their Yilgarn Hub — a portfolio of historic iron ore assets recently acquired from Mineral Resources. The operation spans Koolyanobbing, Windarling and Parker Range, with mining and processing delivered by specialist contractors under Yilgarn's management.
About the Role
We're seeking an experienced Asset Manager to oversee the lifecycle management of approximately $500 million worth of fixed and mobile assets across the Yilgarn Hub. This is a site-based role on an 8&6 roster, supporting day-to-day operations while providing structured oversight of asset performance, utilisation and care.
You'll be responsible for ensuring Yilgarn's assets are maintained to standard, tracked through their lifecycle, and replaced or refurbished when required. The role also involves managing contractor accountability — ensuring equipment is operated responsibly and aligned with Yilgarn's commercial and operational expectations.
Key Responsibilities
* Oversee asset lifecycle management across fixed plant, mobile plant and site infrastructure
* Maintain an accurate asset register with condition, utilisation and depreciation data
* Monitor contractor use of Yilgarn-owned assets to ensure care, compliance and accountability
* Lead end-of-life assessments, replacement planning and CAPEX forecasting
* Coordinate inspections, audits and maintenance planning across all equipment categories
* Provide cost and performance reporting to the Commercial and Executive teams
* Support reliability and efficiency improvements across operations
* Assist in developing asset management systems, standards and reporting frameworks
About You
* Degree in Engineering, Asset Management or a related technical discipline
* 10+ years' experience in mining or heavy industry asset management
* Strong understanding of maintenance planning and lifecycle cost control
* Skilled in data analysis, asset tracking and reporting
* Proven ability to engage contractors and enforce asset care standards
* Excellent communication skills and commercial awareness
* Comfortable working in a site-based environment on an 8&6 roster
