Description
This Brisbane-based position delivers essential mechanical and integrity engineering support across gas processing, water treatment, and wellsite facilities. Focused on short-term operational priorities, the role plays a critical part in minimising downtime, enhancing asset reliability, and maintaining the highest safety and compliance standards. Duties include:
* Deliver practical, timely mechanical and integrity solutions across upstream surface facilities
* Conduct inspections, fitness-for-service assessments, and root cause analyses
* Resolve operational issues and implement strategies that improve performance and reduce downtime
* Provide coaching and technical guidance to junior engineers
* Support HSE reviews, asset risk assessments, and incident investigations
* Represent Operations Engineering in design and project reviews
* Collaborate across Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, and Integrity teams

Essential
* Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Materials or related engineering discipline
* Considerable experience in mechanical or integrity engineering, ideally in energy or infrastructure
* RPEQ registration (or eligible)
* Proficiency in pressure systems, piping, welding, NDT techniques, and integrity standards
* Experience in equipment failure investigation, inspection management, and plant reliability
* Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
Desirable
* Prior experience in upstream gas or CSG
* Familiarity with SCADA, CMMS, and condition monitoring tools
* Experience mentoring or supervising junior engineers
