The Role
Responsibilities
Reporting directly to the Financial Controller, this hands-on role will see you play a key part in supporting commercial decision-making and driving financial performance across multiple divisions. Responsibilities include:
* Generating weekly P&L reports across several transport and logistics business units
* Analysing and presenting KPIs with a daily, weekly, and monthly lens
* Assisting with month-end processes to ensure weekly and monthly results align
* Delivering ad hoc reporting and financial insights as required by the business
* Interpreting financial data to support strategic decisions
* Advising stakeholders on best practice financial management in collaboration with senior leadership
* Offering expert insights on forecasting, planning, and systems improvements
* Supporting both internal and external reporting needs with accuracy and efficiency
* Contributing to a culture of continuous improvement and innovation
The Ideal Candidate
We're seeking a commercially astute and proactive professional with the following:
* A degree in Finance or Accounting and experience in a large, service-based environment
* Exceptional communication skills — both written and verbal — with a knack for simplifying complex data
* Strong interpersonal abilities with confidence to collaborate at all levels
* Results-oriented mindset with the resilience to meet deadlines under pressure
* Proven ability to manage competing priorities independently and effectively
* Advanced Excel skills and strong experience in data analysis and manipulation
