Job Description:
This role involves providing planned and reactive maintenance services for parks and open space assets, ensuring compliance with legislative and regulatory requirements. The successful candidate will lead a team of professionals to deliver landscape maintenance services within a programmed service delivery framework.
Main Responsibilities:
* Review and monitor the safe and effective delivery of maintenance programs, conducting regular audits and inspections to ensure optimal benefits of park assets.
* Manage service delivery of providers and contractors to meet standards within specifications.
* Undertake capital works such as landscaping projects and advise on new landscape designs to achieve program objectives.
* Engage stakeholders to identify requirements and inform organizational direction and strategy.
* Provide regular reports on results against Council Plan targets and identify areas for priority action and improvement.
* Assist in preparing the annual budget and monitoring financial data to address discrepancies and variations.
* Develop community events like Tree Planting Days in collaboration with relevant units and external groups.
* Promote a positive culture and values through transparent decision-making and professional behavior.
Key Requirements:
* Tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience, knowledge of relevant legislation.
* Experience working with large multidisciplinary teams across multiple locations.
* Demonstrated understanding of risk management and work health and safety practices.
* A SafeWork NSW White Card (General Construction Induction card).
* Current First Aid Certificate relevant to the role.
* Driver's Licence Class C.
