About the Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy of the books and compliance with all applicable accounting standards. As a key member of the team, you will play a proactive role in the preparation of financial statements.
Key Responsibilities:
* Calculating and processing month end accruals for contractor, telephone and electricity charges.
* Preparing and posting of journal entries for month end and year end closure.
* Reconciliation of balance sheet accounts.
* Preparation of Departmental Income Statements each month.
* Issuing standard accounting exchange rates monthly.
* Preparation of the BAS & IAS Return for review by the Finance Manager or CFO.
* Preparation and lodgement of Australian Bureau Statistics returns.
* Reconciling Inter Company accounts
* Reconciling Other Receivables on a monthly basis ensuring all rechargeable costs are invoiced to the appropriate parties.
* Assist in preparation of FBT.
About You
To be successful, you will have:
* Degree in Accounting with at least 5 years relevant accounting experience in a manufacturing environment.
* Good working knowledge of Australian Accounting Standards
* Experience in dealing with multiple offices in large geographically spread locations.
* Good working knowledge of GST.
* Good knowledge of job costing.
* Advanced Excel experience.
