Senior Platform Engineer - Workday Integrations
You are passionate about modernising the HR ecosystem through strategic and secure use of cloud infrastructure and services. The role involves designing, building and testing solutions to integrate Workday with various systems.
* This requires strong technical skills in software development and testing practices, including experience with Workday Extend and Workday Integrations.
As a key member of the Application engineering DevOps team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring seamless integration of Workday with other systems.
The HR Technology function is responsible for designing and leading technical skills build across the organisation to prepare their people to be skills-ready for today and tomorrow. This includes reskilling and talent development to support the business' aim to be the number 1 digital bank.
The application portfolio comprises state-of-the-art ERP systems such as Workday and specialised business solutions like BEAR Risk Management. In collaboration with our colleagues in Group Technology, we are modernising the Finance function by leveraging cutting-edge technologies such as SaaS, Cloud, AI, next-gen BI, and low/no code.
The data and architecture-led approach aims to streamline the financial data supply chain, delivering seamless and efficient solutions.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Build Workday integration and Workday core capabilities to our HR Business.
2. Workday closely with our HR Stakeholders to lead as an owner to solve our customers problems.
3. Resolve Workday integrations and Extend defects as per CBA Incident Process in line with SLAs.
4. Maintain CI/CD code.
5. Support Execution – delivery of squad backlog that requires Workday technology (Integrations and Extend).
6. Execution – delivery of squad backlog as per Aptitude Technical Delivery Lead's guidance.
7. Design, Build & Test as per HR backlog requirements.
8. Support test cycles based on the risk and phase of the testing – system testing, system integration testing, end-to-end testing, performance testing, NFT and regression testing.
9. Collaborate closely within your scrum team to drive testability in solution design and promote best test engineering practices in the development process.
10. Ensure the CBA quality standards are applied to test deliverables to ensure compliance and auditability.
11. Connect with CBA Cloud communities such as OneCloud, PCCS, Engineering Group.
12. Facilitate change management process and represent in Pre-CAB.
13. Coordinate with deployment team and facilitate STG and production deployment.
14. Undertake any other tasks assigned by your manager/scrum master that you have the capability to perform safely in line with relevant internal Group policies and external regulatory requirements.

* Have experience with Workday Extend and Workday Integrations.
* Have sound technical understanding of software development & testing practices and life cycle.
* Have sound technical understanding of production defect management.
* Have the ability to analyse complex technical requirements, review architecture documents and solution design, and determine appropriate test approach and best engineering practices based on technical design.
* Can work with multi-location teams.
Technical Skills:
We use a broad range of tools, languages, and frameworks. We don't expect you to know them all but experience or exposure with some of these (or equivalents) will set you up for success in this team;
* Good experience as a Workday Engineer – extensive collaboration across agile and waterfall teams.
* Expertise in Workday Integrations, Workday Orchestrate, Studio, EIB, Reports, Core Connectors, XSLT, and XML and Workday Extend.
* Demonstrable ability to analyse complex technical requirements, review architecture documents and solution design, and determine appropriate test automation approach and best engineering practices based on technical design.
* Defect Management process – creation and tracking.
* Experienced with JIRA and git.
* Continuous Integration (CI), Continuous Delivery (CD), and DevSecOps experience is desirable.
* Cloud technologies and experience building cloud-based applications experience is desirable.
