We are seeking a motivated and reliable Full Time Trainee to join our Glenorchy trade-based retail store. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a long-term career in retail within a fast-paced trade environment while completing a nationally recognised Certificate III in Retail.
About the Role
As a Retail Trainee, you will receive on-the-job training while completing your Certificate III qualification. You will gain experience across all areas of the store, including front counter service, customer sales, stock handling, and operational support.
Youwill also be actively participating in all training and assessment requirements of the Certificate III in Retail.
Responsibilities
* Providing outstanding customer service to trade and retail customers.
* Processing sales and handling EFTPOS/cash transactions.
* Assisting customers with product enquiries and solutions.
* Receiving, unpacking, and merchandising stock.
* Maintaining store presentation and cleanliness.
* Supporting dispatch and general store operations as required.
* Actively participating in all training and assessment requirements of the Certificate III in Retail.

Expectations as Part of the Certificate III
* Completion of all coursework and on-the-job competencies
* Engagement with the nominated Registered Training Organisation (RTO)
* Demonstration of safe work practices at all times
* Progressive development of product knowledge and sales capability
* Commitment to professional presentation and customer service standards

The successful candidate will be remunerated under the General Retail Industry Award 2020 in line with their knowledge and experience. The position is subject to a pre-employment medical and reference checking.
